Odds are, you’ll never say, “Writing a book was the easiest thing I ever did!”
In fact, you’ll probably say quite the opposite. Because it can be hard, very very hard.
The good news is there are numerous people who can help make it easier. In particular: author coaches and ghostwriters. They have the skills, experience, and expertise to help you take the ideas, stories, lessons, and insight that’s in your brain, and get it out onto the written page.
And they can be fun to work with, too, which, while not necessarily making the writing process easy, at least makes it something you want to do. Working with them is like working with a guide and trainer to prep for a mountain climb. Only, usually, there’s less sweat involved in writing.
My book would not have been possible without Lisa. She kept me focused, pulled the stories out of me (even the not-so-fun ones), and helped my written words come to life and read more like I speak and communicate naturally.

Author Coach
Author Coaches are sometimes called Book Coaches. We like to say “author” here because you, the author, are the person working with the coach. Your book isn’t working with anyone. They are solo artists in that way.
An author coach will have meetings with you to help you figure out what your book is about. They’ll guide you through outlining and structuring your content, set writing goals with you, and be your inspiring voice when you need it. They will also review your written work and offer guidance on how you could make it better.
When you use an author coach, you work the way you would with a physical trainer. A trainer knows what is required for you to achieve your results, they will set goals, offer advice on your form, and provide feedback so you continually improve.
We have something special in the author coaching category: a specific process and program that will walk you through completing a manuscript in as little as six months–if you do your homework! Most authors take a year.
However long you take, doesn’t matter. You’ll be given the same guidance and encouragement, technical education on things like chapter structure (sounds boring, but ya gotta know it), techniques to deal with writer’s block and imposter syndrome, and tools to learn how to self-edit. You’ll also get direct feedback on the pages you write while in the program.
The cost is $2,500 a month for twelve months. If you want to go the expedited route and get it done in six months, it will be $5,000 per month for that time frame. The good news is, if you talk to your accountant, you might discover writing your book is a tax-deductible business expense. Regardless, cheaper than an MFA, and probably more practical, too, our author coaching program will get you across the finish line for writing your book!
Our book would not have been possible without the guidance, support, humor, and persistence of Lisa, as she led us through the process.

Ghostwriters
Let’s get this out of the way first: hiring a ghostwriter is not cheating! Working with a ghostwriter is like working with a team member on a special project. Each person has unique knowledge, skills, and experience that they bring to the table. The project’s goal, in this case, a finished manuscript, is reached because they work together, combining that knowledge, skills, and experience. That’s what working with a ghostwriter is all about: working with a team member to reach a goal.
Some clients know they have a particular book in them. They have the education, the background, the technical know-how, or the lived experience required to talk about it and teach others. But when they try to put pen to paper or tap on a keyboard, getting the information out of their head and into words on a page is next to impossible. A skilled ghostwriter will interview them, gather that information, and create a manuscript out of it.
Other clients have trouble squeezing the extra time out of their days. Their schedules are so full, that they’d have to get up at three o’clock in the morning to write, which while possibly ideal on the writing front—they’re pretty much guaranteed quiet, alone time—the rest of their lives would suffer. By hiring a professional ghostwriter, they can schedule meetings to discuss the material, and then the ghostwriter does their thing: create a manuscript.
Still others, particularly those writing memoirs, have discovered that the emotional hits they get from dredging up old memories can be hard to deal with, so hard, that writing blocks as seemingly impossible to break through as granite prevents any progress. For those clients, ghostwriters who specialize in memoirs are the perfect partner. They’ll have the skills to unearth their story (gently when necessary), and, as you’ve probably guessed by now, create a manuscript from it.
In other words, ghostwriters take your information, your story, and your knowledge and present it in written prose. That’s not cheating. That’s working with someone to help you write your book.
Ghostwriting prices are hard to narrow down. The ones in our network start at around $30,000 to complete a book with you. T
