Book Navigator Gives You What You Need to Start Writing Your Book

Clarity, compass, and a kick in the right direction.

Lisa made writing [our] book a true joy. Or sessions were lighthearted and full of laughs. She did such a wonderful job of helping us capture our thoughts and bringing them to life on paper.

As your Book Navigator, I’ll spend 8 to 10 focused hours on calls with you, mapping out your book. We’ll organize your thoughts and ideas in such a way that you won’t wander aimlessly into Chapter Three, wondering what on Earth you’re doing there. By the time we’re done, you will have the tools you need to start writing your book.

The Tools You Need to Start Writing Your Book

  • A clarity document (your official book compass)
  • A chapter-by-chapter navigational plan with main ideas and supporting concepts
  • A clear sense of your core promise: what your book offers and why it matters
  • A deep dive into your target reader’s needs, pain points, and what will hook them
  • A plan for how your book fulfills those needs with authority and heart

And because I’m generous (and perhaps a bit bossy), you’ll also get practical guidance on:

  • How to start your book so it actually gets written
  • How to structure chapters that don’t read like Ikea instructions
  • How to craft an irresistible introduction that lures readers in
  • How to land your conclusion with impact (and smart calls to action)

We’ll talk about writing for your reader—not just yourself—and why that distinction is the difference between a book that gathers dust and a book that actually moves people. I’ll also arm you with strategies for sailing past writer’s block, imposter syndrome, and those inevitable “what was I thinking?” days.

When we’re done, you’ll be off on your own adventure, steering your manuscript with confidence. If you need me again—as a developmental editor, author coach, or even a ghostwriter—I’ll be right here, loaded with caffeine and ideas.

Wondering how big a dent into your coffers this will take? $1,000, which we can break into two payments.

Later, when you have a finished manuscript in hand, but are not sure what to do next, don’t stall at the dock. Come back! I always love to chat with authors about books. We’ll talk publishing options, positioning, next steps, and possibly even debate whether Hemingway was right when he said, “Write drunk, edit sober.”
